Skogafoss is located along the South Coast of Iceland, just off the Ring Road (Route 1).
Skogafoss Waterfall can be found 156 kilometers (about 97 miles) east of Reykjavik and 34.2 kilometers (about 21 miles) west of Vik.

The nearest town is Skogar, just 1.3 kilometers (about 0.8 miles) southeast of Skogafoss.
From Route 1, take Skógar/Skógavegur and then make another left onto Skógafoss/Skógarfoss to arrive at the parking lot for Skogafoss. From the parking lot, a short path leads to the viewing area for the waterfall.
